European defense 1: In an address to the Australian Lowy Institute, visiting Finnish prime minister Sanna Marin said that Europe should build up its own defense – fair enough – but she added that “Europe isn't strong enough. We would be in trouble without the United States”. This assertion is just ridiculous and proves that she is a lackey of U.S. imperialism who is advocating for more U.S. interference in Europe in the name of security and defense. The fact that her government applied for the country to join the aggressive NATO alliance shows that she turned her back on the proud tradition of the Finnish people of primarily counting on their own forces to defend their independence and sovereignty.

In 2001 the U.S. imperialists attacked Afghanistan and deposed the Taliban government. The Taliban are a bunch of medieval warriors who persecute half of the population – the female half. They didn't get any help from anybody, except perhaps from a few – what the west calls – terrorist organizations. The U.S. didn't help them defend the country, on the contary, it is the U.S. which attacked the Afghan people. Still, after 20 years, the Taliban prevailed and kicked out the U.S. aggressors by relying on only half of the population.

If the Russian tsarists would be stupid enough to attack Finland, would it need the U.S. to help them? In war, aid given by allies is welcome if it comes without any strings attached. U.S. military assistance is of a different kind. It is designed to dominate the recipients and turn them into U.S. vassals. People need to rely on their own strength, resistance and ingenuity to chase away invaders. The Finnish people are perfectly capable of doing this and so are the other European peoples. If the European peoplesand countries unite in strengthening their own defenses, they have nothing to fear from the tsarist empire and they don't need U.S. imperialism to come to their aid.

Without the U.S., Europe will not be in trouble. It is the U.S. which would be in trouble if it cannot manipulate and dominate Europe's defenses. Marin's youthfulness and pretty face are far from enough to make her a capable wartime leader.
